The client is an agrochemical manufacturing company based in Kota, Rajasthan. It is one of the largest manufacturers of urea in India. They have three state-of-the-art, hi-tech nitrogenous fertilizer plants in Rajasthan that produce nearly 15% of urea in the country.
The client was using SAP ECC to manually post a huge volume of transactions related to primary and secondary freight services. Considering the volume of transactions and the fact that it was a daily activity, the manual posting became cumbersome. There were pending logs accumulated by the end of month. This was a huge challenge because it created vendor liability in the system and impacted the cash flow. The client wanted to automate the process.
