About The Client

The client is a leading producer of customized polymers for various industries with a state-of-the-art plant in India. This plant is one of the world’s largest single sites for manufacturing lamination adhesives. They also produce laminating adhesives for flexible packaging.

The company has its warehouses in eight locations in India and has a distributor network in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

Business Challenge

  • The client team used Excel sheets to prepare and deliver insights to CXOs. The process was manual and time-consuming, and CXOs had limited control over data. The data was not real-time, which impacted the business outcome.
  • To add to the woes, the client received data from multiple data sources. So, gathering and consolidating it on a single dashboard or visualizing the data became challenging. The CXOs spent considerable time just understanding the data and deriving actionable insights from them.
  • To accelerate this process, the client decided to develop KPI-driven CXO dashboards to improve efficiency and transparency and bring more control within the business. They wanted to eliminate manual processes and provide easy-to-access, real-time insights to help CXOs make informed business decisions.

Solution

To address these challenges, the client got in touch with Sapours.

Since Sapours had already helped the client with ERP and Salesforce implementation, they entrusted the Sapours team with the responsibility of revamping the existing process and improving decision-making with better data access.

The Sapours team suggested the implementation of interactive dashboards using Power BI. The objective was to enable decision-makers access real-time data without any dependency on other teams and without any manual efforts.

The Sapours team helped the client with the following:

  • Building of Five Dashboards

    We delivered five complex CXO dashboards that focused on Margin Analysis, Inventory Analysis, Sales Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis, and Accounts Payable and Receivable. We built these dashboards in a way that the CXOs could view the detailed business metrics with just a single click.

  • Implementation of Power BI

    Since real-time data is dynamic, we recommended our client use Power BI. We leveraged its power to gather data from different sources and present it in an interactive and visually appealing way. Power BI is more cost-effective and could help the CXOs visualize data in real-time.

  • Building of Analytics Roadmap

    We also created an analytics roadmap that provided Ratio Analysis (liquidity, solvency, profitability ratios, etc.), Balance Scorecard Dashboards, and performance and efficiency Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to our client. These additions gave the client a comprehensive overview of their business's financial health and performance.

Impact

The client was able to reduce 70% of their manual work with the help of the CXO dashboards and get real-time analytics, which helped them make informed business decisions.
