Traceability software and tools

A breakthrough product developed by Sapours

Tracex is a tool that provides digital traceability for product and process parameters and helps provideimmutable records for the complete supply chain.

Ask for a Demo

As the economy grows, customer expectations of reliability in all aspects of product performance are on the increase. Robust manufacturing is thus a basic requirement to meet these expectations. A delighted customer is the greatest brand builder! Towards this end, we have built this product to be industry-agnostic and its first application has been in the Automotive sector.

Traceability solutions for manufacturing

Tracex is built collaboratively with industrial & automotive experts

Future of Automotive Industry

The Automotive Mission Plan II is aimed at placing the Indian Automotive Industry in the top three in the world in terms of the volumes handled and higher exports of vehicles and components. The growth in the volume in the sector will demand efficient and innovative business models.

Vehicle Recall analysis and solutions

An analysis of SIAM data shows that 2.9 million vehicles were recalled during the period between 2012-2019. A majority of the recalls were related to design and software. However, some of the recalls were also due to process defects at OEM, Tier I and Tier II vendors – all of these recalls have been addressed by this solution.

PRESENT INDUSTRY SCENARIO

ERPs mainly track product characteristics and not process – creating the potential to lose track due to process errors

Un-tracked process parameters anywhere in the supply chain can prove costly

A standalone system that is a single version of the truth is desirable, but not available

A study of the matrix of processes in manufacturing highlights the need for tracking

“Special processes” do not get tracked or may have a gap in data capturing and recording and/or linking to the output

Defined and validated processes and shop floor reality are not the same and not effectively linked to the output

At Sapours, we launched a detailed survey of the market conditions. Analysis of our findings showed that the automotive industry was looking for a solution that could provide assurance of parameters and linkage across the value chain to limit damages due to product recalls.

Thus was born a traceability solution which we called Tracex

Tracex links assembly with key components' batches and consequently with their process record with built-in immutability. The solution is Industry- agnostic and is well-suited for use in industrial and/or agricultural products as well as in the automotive sector, where it has first been implemented.

Some key reasons to implement Tracex are:
